Bible Verse
I COR. 15:58 THEREFORE, MY BELOVED BRETHREN, BE YE STEDFAST, UNMOVEABLE, ALWAYS ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF THE LORD, FORASMUCH AS YE KNOW THAT YOUR LABOUR IS NOT IN VAIN IN THE LORD.
Psalm 18:2 "The LORD is my ROCK, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."
At Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, we believe it is necessary for youth to have a strong Biblical foundation in order to have a clear direction for their lives.
I Corinthians 10:31 says, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." This verse gives us a command, and in our youth group, we strive to accomplish this through our actions, attitude, and appearance. We see the need to have clean fun, good fellowship, and a firm understanding of God's Word.

YOUTH GROUP Each Wednesday night we set aside some time to have fun with friends, sing songs, play games, and share God's Word.
SUNDAY SCHOOL On Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., we take some time to look deeper into God's Word, which allows the Christian to grow closer to Him.
MONTHLY ACTIVITIES We try to take a Friday/Saturday evening out of each month to have some good, clean fun. We believe it is necessary to spend quality time with other Christians in order for us to grow in a spiritual direction.
FOOD-N-FELLOWSHIP Each Thursday we have prayer breakfast at 7 a.m. Typically the teens vote on the previous Wednesday night for which restaurant they want for breakfast. We also try to go out to eat after youth group about once a month for some food and fellowship. The teens seem to really enjoy these activities, and it gives us time to pray for one another with a smaller group.
OUTREACH Every other Saturday we take the time to follow Christ's command, which we find in Matthew 28:19-20. We have a couple of different ways that we try to reach out to our community: door-to-door, visiting shut-ins, visiting nursing homes, or even writing letters to some that may not have been able to make it to church in a while.
MISSIONS TRIP During the summer, we try to take a trip for about a week, in or out of state, to a church of like faith that may be in need; we want to help them out by serving in whatever area they need. We also may go out of the country to do similar activities.
SUMMER CAMP Every summer we set aside a week for camp. This is a time when we go to a good, Christian Bible camp and spend the week growing closer to God and each other. It has always been a time of fun, but most importantly, a time of growth.
